This photo-blog stands in mute protest against the obvious, but also pays tribute to the "guerillas" responsible for this covert truth campaign.

Nobody Died When Clinton Lied.

This slogan has been recently spotted in various locations along the I-5 freeway in southern Orange County, California. As quickly as it appears, it seems to disappear. We'd like your help in providing us sighting information via our Contact Us form. These sightings will be reported on this site for as long as I remain interested enough in this topic to keep the website alive. If you'd like to help support the movement, get a T-Shirt or bumpersticker to pass the word! In the interest of fairness, I've started posting some of the dissenting opinions I've been receiving via e-mail here.

Osama Bin ForgottenSeems that in our administration's rush to make some headway in their self-described war on terroism, they have lost focus on their initial target of this war. Osama Bin Who? Either the tide of public sentiment is turning or apathy has set in 'cause this sign reportedly stayed up for 4 whole days before being taken down. Spotted by Anonymous along I-8 in Mission Valley, San Diego, CA.

http While technically not a FreewayBlog, I thought this link would be of interest to visitors to this site. TruthUncovered.com is selling a documentary produced by MoveOn.org that promises uncover the truth behind the lies and deceptions that lead up to America's involvement in the Iraq War.

Hooray, We Got the Wrong GuyOur first contributed spotting of the new year. "Hooray, We Got The Wrong Guy" seems to be a popular sentiment following the capture of Sadaam Hussein. Seems like this whole "War on Terrorism" was geared for capturing terrorists like Osama bin Laden, not provide a convenient scapegoat that allowed W to go in, guns a blazin', to remove a regional despot and protect America's interest (read: oil) in Iraq. Spotted by Anonymous on Highway 101, Santa Barbara, CA

Peace on Earth Peace on Earth Happy Holidays! These signs seem to have lasted the longest. Perhaps because what on the surface seems like such a benign statement politically, is, in fact, an extremely strong message to our leaders in Washington and round the world. Who would be threatened enough by such a good wish to all to take down this timeless message? Spotted by MJG along Crown Valley.

The War is a LiePatrick Randal sent us this sign he spotted last night in downtown L.A. on an overpass between Crenshaw and Arlington. This "nightblog" is kind of eerie in effect. With the moon in the background to provide depth this sign catches illumination from surrounding lights, making visibility very good. Spotted over the Santa Monica Freeway, Los Angeles, CA.

The War is a LieIt's baaackk.... "The War is a Lie" has returned to north San Juan Capistrano, much as the famed swallows do; only more frequently. This picture is actually from Thanksgiving Day (which I didn't get a chance to post) and only lasted a day. Let's hope this one lasts a little longer. Since this sign is on private property, I'm not sure if it is the property owners or angered right-wingers who have taken to pulling this one down as soon as it is posted.

Quagmire AccomplishedThanks to The Scarlet Pimpernel who sent us a photo of the sign spotted below by flarg. "Quagmire Accomplished" is an appropriate term for the current state of this conflagration that we were all assured wouldn't turn into another Vietnam. And yet, American (and alliance) soldiers continue to die every day that this "occupation" continues. Spotted on a pedestrian bridge over I-80 in Berkley, CA.

Flarg sent the following email:  "In Berkeley, We have new bike/pedestrian bridge which goes over Interstate 80. One of the busiest freeways in the US. Saw the Quagmire Accomplished hanging from the bridge last week."

Soldiers killed: 43; Funerals attended: 0Biting statement on the number of solders that have died as a result of Bush's imaginary war versus the number of funerals for said warriors that he has attended. Pretty sad to think that "W" thinks so little of the fine men he sends off to die in his bid for legitimacy. Spotted by MJG off I-5, northbound, just south of Crown Valley Parkway, Mission Viejo, CA.
